The e-constat auto is the official application of French insurers designed to mimic the European paper version of the amicable car accident report.

An e-constat for whom?

• You can use the e-constat if you have an accident in a car, motorcycle, bicycle, electric scooter or any other type of motorized personal transportation device (such as a segway or hoverboard).

In what cases can you use the e-constat?

• The e-constat can only be used for accidents with purely material consequences.
• The e-constat is applicable to accidents involving one or two vehicles. In the case of a car and a motorcycle, both vehicles must be registered in France.
